Hello Everyone,

Thanks for the birthday wishes. I really appreciate it. I can certainly say I’ve never had a birthday quite like this one.

I had a very quiet birthday here around the ranch. I insisted that Kayla and Walker not make a big deal to everyone, seeing as I’d only known the other researchers for a day, so things progressed quite as normal. It was excellent to get many many email messages though – thanks for that I really appreciate it. The elephants came back last night so the highlight was likely watching the sun go down, with a cup of tea, sitting on the porch and watching a family of elephants wander through.

I miss you all back home. I hope everyone had a nice May 30th as well!
