I love reptiles. I’ve always wondered why, in Massachusetts, or New England in general, we have other reptiles such as snakes and turtles, but no lizards. I figured that, surely, if snakes and turtles could survive our winters then Fence lizards or Five-lined Skinks could too. They occur in New Jersey. So I always wondered if they could migrate north into New England.
