Just one update. The car is well over halfway back to perfect but it turns out the mechanics only had a replacement for the big window, not the little accent window next to the passenger side mirror. In impressive creativity and telling generosity the grinding I heard while watching the broom lady was them cutting up a plexiglass frame they had in the shop full of pictures of the employees. It fits beautifully and while it’s not a long term solution it does keep the car secure. It’s the little things like that that makes me feel so good about setting out, driving all over Europe and meeting new people.
