It’s been weeks since my last post (sorry) but for better or worse the topic of this post is about the same: lizard videos. For the last two months I’ve spent far too much time pouring over videos of lizards running up and down sprint speed tracks, basking on rocks, or dashing under bushes. Luckily, occasionally I come upon one of these beauties and it makes me smile:

I am pleased to report though that I’m through with my last video analysis (for this field season… I think). That’s tens of thousands of frames of lizards sprinting and hundreds of minutes of field behavior videos. I’m now neck deep in analyzing the data, but I’m finding some very exciting patterns. I’ll fill you in with more details once I’ve wrapped the stats. For now, I hope you enjoy Angus’ narration.
